Our Fall Book Fair begins on Tuesday (9/25) and will be held in the library (room #22) and will be open every day after school from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Dress up days are as follows:
** Tuesday - Wear your favorite troll or fairy tale t-shirt
** Wednesday -- Wacky hair and/or crazy socks
** Thursday - Wear a totally terrific bright and colorful t-shirt
** Friday -- Anything that shows your love for the enchanted forest
We hope you will join us for our first family night of the school year. On Thursday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room we will have a night of games. See the attached flier for more information.
The APEX Fun Run is tomorrow, Thursday, August 30. Volunteers are needed in the morning to help mark laps and hand out water. We need 15-20 volunteers per session.
Run Times:
** 8:15-9:15: TK and kindergarten
** 9:15-10:15: Grades 4, 5, and 6
** 10:20-11:10: Grades 1, 2, and 3

King School TK/Kinder Information Tour & Meeting will be held on Friday, Feb. 16th at 10:00 a.m. along with a Parent/Teacher Q & A on Friday, April 20th at 6:00 p.m.

All students in grades three through six will participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) at some time between April 23rd and May 11, 2018. Practice for this test started on April 9th. Please have your child get to bed on-time and make sure that he/she eats breakfast & arrives at school on time. Please see the attached parent letter for more information.

Join us on Saturday, August 5th to Register for Class. We will begin at 9:00 am. Classroom pictures will be taken, and you will be able to order your school spirit shirts. Beginning of the year paperwork will be completed and you will learn who your child's teacher is.
We are very excited to off the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) at King School. This nine week institute, offered in both English and Spanish, will help you better understand all aspects of your child's school experience. This unique opportunity is offered for the very first time in the Cypress School District. Classes will be held both in the morning and evening on Tuesdays and child care is available.
